 Chitraleka Bolar
My introduction to the mystique of classical Indian dance was meeting the world acclaimed Sonia Sabri and Chitraleka Bolar. Sonia, celebrates Hindu and Moghal expressions from the 15th century through Kathak, represented by music mime and narrative focusing on the characters from the epics who were regarded as divinities.
Chitraleka and Company are leading performers in Bharathanatyam classical Indian dance and the folk dances of South India with whom I collaborated and worked with during 1999.
