As my love of the ballet increased so did my interest in other forms of dance. In 1996 Joaquín Cortés was about to tour the UK with his show Gipsy Passion, a fusion of flamenco and ballet. I was invited to the final dress rehearsals at the Royal Albert Hall. The production was stunning, full of drama and excitement. The girls were dressed by Georgio Armani and Joaquín had become a cult icon with the status of a pop star.
