 Miyako Yoshida
Having been introduced to ballet by my wife and consequently fallen asleep during a number of productions, I was by chance introduced to Miyako Yoshida then principal with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Having recently completed my series of Sumo I was searching for something totally different to paint but of equal artistic and cultural importance. Having watched Miyako in performance, the shutters fell from my eyes and I`ve been completely hooked on ballet ever since!
